The reason that they are not so apparent as those within the Park is that this area has been returned to the farmers and has been tilled over. North of the village down a rather rough road is a local tip which is located in the approx position of some WW1 crater. Its gradually being filled in with all sorts of rubbish but is it just an old quarry or was it originally the location of WW1 craters - anybody know?
