It has lyre twisted lugs with the lug width of 20mm (my personal favourite size), and the asymmetrical case, having the right side being thicker that serves as a "crown guard". The reference 124060 Rolex Submariner has only been around since September 2020, but it is already at the top of many collectors’ wish lists. For anyone thinking about adding the latest no-date Submariner to their watch box, here is everything that you need to know.

Planet Ocean 42 mm (8500) Bezel width - 40 mm. Dial opening - 30.6 mm. Lug width - 20 mm. Lug to lug - 47.7 mm (50 mm with end link protrusion?) In my estimation, PO 42 mm bezel size, dial opening, and lug-to-lug length closely approximates Rolex Submariner 16610. The case measures 42mm wide, and shares almost the same exact profile like the Speedmaster. It has lyre twisted lugs with the lug width of 20mm (my personal favourite size), and the asymmetrical case, having the right side being thicker that serves as a "crown guard". Rudimentary measuring with a plastic ruler, looks like the lug to lug length of the 45.5 is only 2mm longer than the 42 (and of course lug width is 20 and 22mm). Given my borderline wrist it is truly amazing how differently the 2 sizes wear.
It really needs the adjustable clasps so I get the perfect fit, because the weight of the watch flopping around on the wrist is quite uncomfortable. Same on the rubber, which is why I had to drill the extra hole. The overall weight on rubber is fine, but the watch head still weighs enough to be uncomfortable. the 39.5 has a lug to lug of of 45mm which is just over 1-3/4inch the 43 has a lug to lug of 49mm which 1-15/16inch just shy of 2.However, the Planet Ocean is actually 0.4 mm longer from lug to lug and wider from 2:00 to 8:00 by 1.5 mm. BRACELET Bracelet Dimensions (in mm):
*true lug to lug is over 50mm due to the curving end-link Various References. One thing worth mentioning is that the cal 2500 Planet Ocean has sharper case than the 2531.80 or 2254.50 Seamasters. While the lugs on the 2254.50 are similar, the form is considerably softer than on the Planet Ocean. The lug- to-lug sizing really needs to be between 46-47mm for this watch. I’d probably say 46.5mm would be absolutely perfect. I expect the 4th generation of the Planet Ocean to be released in 2021/2022 and hopefully the lug-to-lug sizing will be increased on the smaller Planet Ocean in that line-up.The OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Master Chronometer is water resistant to 600 metres / 2000 feet / 60 bar, and has a helium-escape valve. The OMEGA Master Chronometer calibre 8900 at the heart of this timepiece can be seen through the transparent caseback.
Whenever I'm trying to figure out lug-to-lug length, the first thing I do is google the name of the watch + "bernardwatch," and at least 2/3 of the time I find the answer. Hopefully someday I can give them some business for the "service" they've provided me.
