It is very crowded and is filled with stalls selling cheap replicas of Watches, Shoes, Handbags, wallets etc. It also has food stalls selling Chinese food .Don't know how far from Traders, but there is an abundance of fake watches at Petaling Street. You need to be careful as some of them look like copies of fakes of fakes. Thailand is better for quality and selection, but you can find some good copies in KL.
Roughly half of the items I bought on Petaling St were faulty: movie DVDs which started in English and finished in Russian, or which simply did not play at all; one out of three watches which lasted all of three hours (and the strap less), etc. The only place for replicas is the overhyped Petaling Street in Chinatown. Petaling Street is an open air market with all kinds of stalls - and, surprisingly enough, a lot of tattoo parlors. Speaking of decent streetwear/fashion replica stalls, you will find no more than 4/5 stalls.
