Use this Horotec omega® seam watch case opener die in three different sizes that grip onto the back and twist off easily. Fit into the key holder and use to open and remove .
Since you have to ask how to remove the case back, it might be best if you don't try to open it. The case back is not removable. If it needs work, it needs expert attention.

You need to have a tool called a case knife to open it properly. My recommendation would be to take it to a watchmaker or master jeweler to open the back. Otherwise, you risk a nasty scratch to the case if you slip.I adore the aesthetics of the 1861 movement so much that I went as far as purchasing an aftermarket caseback to fully appreciate it whenever possible. In fact, the open caseback of my first Seiko 5 is what initially captivated me about automatic watches.
