This is the Explorer I’ve been waiting for. perfect for my wrist (~7 inches) and as nicely proportioned as the 124270, which I owned, but could never warm up to the size. Long story short, I was given the "the-waitlist-is-several-years-long-and-we-don't-want-your-business" treatment at the local AD when showing my interest for a new Explorer I (214270). I would like to hear if anyone else has had similar experiences with the AD what comes to the Explorer I.

When? How long did you wait? Where are you? (Be as specific or nonspecific as you want, from continent to a specific AD) Any purchase history with that AD?

Apparently, according to the AD I was mentioning before, Rolex does indeed prioritise customers with purchase history. They apparently hand pick people from the wait list based on that, and the AD has no say.. how can someone have purchase history if you can’t buy the model you want in the first place?
